I took the boys to their dentist (Dr Renner) yesterday. Tanner did a fantastic job. Sat in the chair without a wiggle or complaint. Cole on the other hand didn't want to have anything to do with the that dentist chair and avoided it like the plague. We had to resort to Cole starting out giving me a bear hug, his legs around my waist, then dropping his head back into the Dr's lap. And that worked out great!
It is so interesting to see a Dentist that specializes in kids as they have such great techniques in getting to see the kids teeth without traumatizing. These first years of seeing a dentist are so important and by making it a pleasant trip is key. I remember seeing a dentist when I was a teenager and I had an awful cavity that needed to be filled. The dentist ( at that time it was a dentist on call as my usual one was out of town) was working on me and I let him know that I was in tremendous pain, his response to me was, " well.. it's supposed to hurt!" Wow, to this day I have anxieties whenever I sit in the dentist chair.
Back to the boys... They both got a thumbs up for having no cavities and everything looked fine. Yippy for them and for the adults in their life for keeping those pearls clean!

love ya,
Lisa!
You never stop, Stacy, do you?! LOL! I'm glad the boys did so well at the dentist. Anna's first experience at the dentisst was for a broken tooth that had to be yanked out in pieces. Needless to say, she's TERRIFIED of the dentist. It was so great seeing you and your mom the other night. I will call you as soon as I stop spinning in circles, o.k.?
Laura
P.S. I hope your disclaimer about grammar wasn't aimed at me! LOL!
