Strep or Virus?

Tanner had another great day at Golf Camp. I arrived just in time to witness Tanner long putt and he rimmed the hole. The whole class was cheering for him. That was a spectacular shot. Dane said that he has great putting skills for a little tyke and would be even better if he were out practicing more.
Cole woke up with another fever, so we gave him some tylenol for that then he later took a nap and woke up very hot. I tried to take his temp and he was pretty upset and refused to let the thermometer get a proper read, I also tried to give him meds again and he refused to take it. Thank goodness his Dr apt was right after his nap. I just loaded him into the car and embarked to the Dr office. Once there, the nurse was able to get a faster read for his temp and hers read at 103.5 *, the gave me an ice pack and shoved some motrin down him (he didn't even protest this stuff with them). Cole has been running high temps since Monday and I accidentally told them that he has been running high temps for 3 days (oops), it's been 4 days. Anyway the Dr told me that if he has high temps for 5 or more days to bring him back and they will take a closer look at him. Dr stated that he didn't show any signs of infection. So I'm wondering if I wake up with these high temps again tomorrow, do I bring him in again?
Actually, I think I know my game plan. I have been having an under-the-weather week too. Started out on Sunday with a bad headache, then Monday I was achy all over, Tues...Wed...and Thurs cold sweats, sore throat, and exhausted. I tried to see a Dr, but I made a mistake and booked with a Dr that I'm only allowed to see when my reg Dr is out... (so I booked with my "substitute "Dr.) Anyway.. I called for the apt first thing in the morning and the earliest they could see me was at 5:15pm, so I waited all day to figure out if I have strep or just a virus. I arrived at the Dr office and they told me the Dr can't see me because I am not his patient. To this I replied, "WHAT? I have seen this Dr a few times before and there has never been mention of this." They told me I must have seen him when my regular Dr was out (which is Wednesdays) and that must had been why it was never questioned. ~ So I guess I've only been needing a Dr on Wednesdays?... UGH. I told Dane this story and he asked, "Why didn't you go with your regular Dr in the first place? .. I said, " This other Dr is nicer, his staff is nicer, and the office is newer and prettier; besides, I have been allowed to see him without questions in the past few ailments." My question to this is... Why didn't they notice this sooner, or when I booked the apt, and let me know? So back to my plan... I will "hopefully" see my regular Dr tomorrow morning and find out if I have strep or not. If I have strep, I'll be bringing Cole back to his Dr; if I have it , he most likely has it too.
