Tornado in California?!

There was a tornado in town!

As the head pro of a local golf course, Dane had to take care of his golfers. An adventurous day for sure. At the elevation 80 ft, our small town saw a lot of weather today. Downpours, thunder and lightening, hail, and a tornado (yes, a tornado in California), even snow in our town! That's what we had today! Dane had to call all golfers off of the course for their safety. The news van showed up at Dane's work just as he was in the parking lot ready to head home.

I was home with the boys and watching tv. The show was interrupted by an emergency alert system, stating that a tornado is heading to our town to take shelter. My first thought was, where in the hell do I go, my whole downstairs rooms have big windows, I don't have a basement. Then I took the boys upstairs to the hall where it seemed most safe.

Dane and I asked Tanner what it was that he wanted to say while I was video taping the news. Tanner said, "Daddy, why did you not say hi to Mommy, Cole or me?"

The boys were in shock to see their dad on TV. They kept repeating, " That's Daddy!...That's Daddy!... Daddy's on TV!" Ha ha... cute!

Flowers Delivered Please!
google image
I had a terrible day with my boys yesterday. They had to FIGHT over every toy and Tanner had to be SASSY most of the day and pull a lot of ATTITUDE. I had plans to take the boys to my GYM and meet up with my friend and her boys there. Tanner continued with bad behavior on my drive to the GYM so I turned the car around with the threat that we would go back home. Tanner started pleading with me, apologizing to me, promising me that he would behave. As he was making these "promises", I passed a flower delivery truck. I turned to Tanner and told him that he will have to send me flowers once he grows up and moves out of the house, he and his brother will have to send me flowers once a month.
"We will Mommy, we will, we will send you flowers!"
I decided to take them to the GYM to play with their friends.

Little Treasures

Yes! Joy... that is what I got when Cole brought these beautiful Christmas decorations home from his preschool. I was cleaning up Christmas today and putting everything in it's place to hibernate for another 11 months. As I was doing this, I realized that these precious treasures will have to be put away too. It broke my heart... wondering... what their condition will be when I pull them from the rafters for Christmas '10. I had to get a picture of each of them to enjoy them a little bit longer.
